The benefits of having a birth doula throughout your labor and birth cannot be undervalued. Studies show that labors where doulas are present are shorter in duration, lead to less C-sections, and less medical interventions are used. I spend lots of time getting to know you and your partner to determine what techniques work for you, help you develop your birth plan, make sure you feel supported and heard throughout the entire process.
It is never talked about enough in our culture but a mama’s postpartum recovery in the first 6 weeks following the birth is a critical time for health and overall wellbeing for the mama and baby. Even going through the best birth possible the mama still needs appropiate time, nourishment, love, and support to aid her during this special time. Due to the stress and even normal routines of everyday life it can be hard for a family to meet these needs. That is where I can help you. I help with cooking meals for the mother (specifically to meet the nutritional needs of a postpartum mom), self care rituals, grocery shopping, and much more. Care options usually start once Mama and baby are home and can go through 6 weeks.
I also offer the same meals above but as prepped meals that are ready for you when you need them. I come to your home, cook meals that you preselect, portion, and then freeze meals if necessary.
